Our village hall serves as a versatile community space that accommodates a wide range of activities and events. It is a hub for social gatherings, educational workshops, recreational activities, and cultural events. The large hall is utilized for various purposes such as community meetings, fitness classes, music performances, theatre rehearsals, craft fairs, and much more. The small hall is useful for business-related meetings and small group activities including art classes. It provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for people of all ages and interests to come together, learn, connect, and enjoy a wide array of activities and experiences.

Matfield Women’s Institute is a friendly group of about 40 members with a wide range of interests. We meet on the 1st Wednesday evening of each month, as well as holding a variety of activities and outings.

Active Future Over 55's
Friendly & fun: These mixed-ability classes are fun and inclusive, whether new to them or experienced. It's a friendly, outgoing group and we always have a good laugh! The most important thing is that you come and enjoy yourself – the rest will follow. Our classes are designed for fun-loving older adults with vitality and humour.
Classes include: Boogie-Fit Over 55’s & Over 70’s Tuesday Mornings
Classes for Early Stage Parkinson’s Disease on Mondays 11am.
